Terms

Last updated 4 September 2026.

This is the agreement between you and Yurii Moskviak, of Canada, covering the Holos application and holosvoice.com. Installing or using Holos means you accept it.

1. What you are buying

A subscription licence to use Holos for personal or business purposes, for as long as the subscription is current. You are licensed to use the software; you are not buying the software itself.

One licence covers every Mac that you personally use. It does not cover other people. A team needs one licence per person.

2. The free trial

Holos runs unrestricted for fourteen days with no card and no account. When the trial ends, Holos asks you to buy a licence and keeps working while it does. It does not delete anything, and it does not hold your past dictations hostage.

3. Subscription and renewal

The subscription is $39 USD per year and renews automatically on its anniversary until you cancel. You will be told before each renewal. You can cancel at any time through the link on your receipt, or by writing to support@holosvoice.com.

Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not end the period you have already paid for — Holos stays fully licensed until that period runs out. Refunds are covered in the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

If a subscription lapses, Holos does not lock you out or destroy your data. It returns to asking you to renew, and everything on your Mac remains yours.

4. What you may not do

A licence key found published publicly may be revoked for future issuance. We do not disable copies of the application already installed on your Mac.

5. Your content is yours

Everything you dictate belongs to you. We claim no rights over it, and we have no way to see it — as described in the privacy policy, your audio and transcripts never leave your Mac.

6. Third-party components

Holos includes whisper.cpp, which is open source under the MIT licence, and uses speech and language facilities provided by macOS. It also uses speech models published by OpenAI under the MIT licence, downloaded from Hugging Face when a language requires one. Their licences continue to apply to those components.

7. Warranty

Holos is provided as it is. We do not warrant that recognition will be accurate, that it will suit a particular purpose, or that it will run without fault. Speech recognition makes mistakes — read what it wrote before you rely on it, particularly in anything clinical, legal or financial.

Nothing here removes rights that consumer protection law gives you and that cannot be waived by agreement, including under the Consumer Protection Act of Quebec and equivalent legislation elsewhere in Canada.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of Holos is limited to what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data.

9. Ending the agreement

You may stop using Holos at any time; delete the application and the licence ends. We may end this agreement if you materially breach it, in which case your right to use Holos ends, and you may ask for a pro-rata refund of any unused portion unless the breach was sharing or publishing your key.

10. Changes

These terms may change for future purchases and renewals. The version in force is the one published on the day you buy or renew, and the date at the top of this page tells you which that is.

11. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
